I hear it all the time. And it never fails to to tickle me.

People don’t join our paint parties because they think they are artist. They join because they want to have fun, bond, gather with friends, and meet new people, or just do something different. But the thing almost every participant says before we begin is, “I can’t paint. I’m not an artist” and it makes me laugh because I know whats coming. And it thrills me every time. Because at the end of our session together everyone is surprised at what they have created, and end up saying, “I can’t believe I painted this!”

I believe we were all made with the ability to create, and when follow that desire to create it leaves us with a feeling of satisfaction.
